I attended William T. Dwyer High School from 2012 and graduated in 2016. The school itself provides a good environment for students as well as teachers. There were lots of extracurricular activities performed at the school the gave students the opportunity to enjoy themselves and learn new things. I had some of the best teachers there that not only helped me with my schoolwork, but also gave me some valuable advice for my education after high school. However, the administration at the school could have been better. I personally feel that they were too harsh on little stuff like wearing ripped jeans or not wearing school colors. Additionally, the lunch provided at the school could be better and maybe even healthier... Besides that my overall experience was very good!

William T Dwyer high school was very beneficial for me, I worked together with great people that help me understand life and success. Teachers was supportive of me alot and wanted me to do better in life because I was such a good student, but teachers, staffs, guidance counselor understood that I couldn't reach the success I wanted because my family and me are not financially stable. Dwyer Comunity High School allowed my to learn something each day and I'm proud to say that William T Dwyer was one of my favorite schools!
In my four years at William. T. Dwyer High School, I have experienced three different principles. My school is known for sports and tends to put funding in that category before college readiness, art programs, and basic stocking of bathroom supplies. The Driver's Education course was cut, due to lack of funding my second year of high school. Drama club was only activated in the last five years and with a large group of kids attending meetings weekly, there is a lack of support from administration at events and those who deny the club exists. Overall our choice programs do well such as Early Childhood, Student Government, Finance, Construction, Culinary, and ROTC. Again, there is obvious lack of funding. Violence was a huge concern throughout my experience as well and with different administration, the amount was either significantly increased or decreased.
