If you are the type of parent that wants to dump your kid off so your kid is someone else problem and not your problem for the next 7 hrs this is the place to do it But if you care about your child and care about their education this is not the place they Violate your parental Rights they do not care what the parents wants or think let alone what the student needs are they just shove them thru passing grade or not there are several fights a day in the hall way and the second week of school 2017-2018 there was a fight that was so violent that there was blood all over the parking lot from one kid bashing another kids face in and putting the poor kid in the hospital for a couple days they had to call the REMSA out the injures where so bad Between the fights the Admin and the discrimination it is terrible and appalling far as a learning environment in less you want to teach your kid to be a gangbanger or barley get enough education to flip burgers all there life at Mc Donald's
I've rated O'Brien Middle School a 3 star for numerous reasons. For example, if you get A's and B's you will get placed with the best teachers to help you reach for your academic success. If you get anything below a B, you'll get scheduled with below average teachers. Therefore, you'll remain at your own intellectual level and won't improve as much for your academic success.
It's also the environment students are in, you have to be so cautious of who you're hanging out with. If you mess up or cause a little problem with your friend, it's like everyone will be against you. For the majority of the teachers, they don't really care.
For the last reason, TOO MANY DRUGS. You can get influenced into using drugs easily, especially hanging out with the wrong people. For me, I choose to isolate myself from everyone to not get influenced. I focus on my academic success and my teachers help me strive to it.
