Ever since my freshman year I was severely depressed. My home life was never the best but something that I looked forward to was going to school here. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and I can honestly say I never felt alone here. If I had no one to eat lunch with, I would go into a teachers' classroom and have the time of my life. There is also so much school spirit and there's something for everyone here. We have so many clubs and extracurricular activities. I can honestly say I could not have asked for a better High School experience.

The most beautiful factor the school has is their family-like relationship with their students. Several times they have changed our special periods, from Academic Success to a, in a sense, a constant changing homeroom all the way to what we call Advisory and Flex Time. If you're responsible enough, then you can choose the type of classes yo go to, whether it's a study hall, activities, or a guest speaker from a college or profession. In addition, the school has in place clubs/groups such as Link Crew or the Yearbook Club, students who make our school year an interesting one, from ballerina teachers and dances to theme weeks and guest speakers. While I generally don't participate in much, I have seen and heard the actions of our administration for a good two school years to know well enough that this is a school many should be glad to have.
As a senior at Will C Wood, I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to go to any other school. I love the amount of school spirit we have; with students from every class participating in spirit days, events, and our "wildcat way". Diversity is also a big factor on campus. We have students from every type of background and have clubs representing them through cultural, religious, and LGBTQ aspects. Our campus is also known for its performing arts, like our theater program and choir. My only complaint is that students are uninformed about the resources on campus and usually are not reached out to very often by their counselors and administration. But teachers strive to make a close bond with their students. Overall, WCW is a great campus with great academics, diverse clubs and activities, and a wide range of sports. I'm proud of the inclusivity and tolerance on campus, even if we are not the biggest school in town.
