My daughter has participated in AP classes, the marching band and other student government clubs/activities. Teachers have a genuine interest in the success of their students. Class sizes are impressive and provide a smaller community to learn in. The school was selected to house the visual and performing arts program for the county and the staff is highly qualified. College is encouraged, while opportunities to attend the CTE program(s) are provided as well. Students receive scholarships opportunities/notifications and are encouraged to apply to multiple schools by staff.
Wicomico High School has a very diverse student majority. That is one thing I’ve enjoyed about the school. The difference between others and their mannerisms. The past years I’ve been apart of sport teams and lots of leadership driven groups. While I was apart of these groups I loved how we all treated each other as family. Wicomico High School gives us the opportunity to display our interests and make memories for a lifetime. While I’ve talked about sports and the surrounding environment... I want to make known of the teachers helping us achieve our academic success . The teachers I’ve had for all the years attended have been a great impact on where I am now. Wicomico High School is just an overall wonder. I’m glad I’m able to be apart of the WIHI Tribe!!
My experience at Wicomico High school has been a very unique journey. I have met many new people and been able to come across several opportunities to help me with my future. Personally, my favorite thing about Wicomico High is the support that the teachers give you. Although like any other school there are some things I would like to see improved. One thing I think that could be improved is more of a variety of science classes offered. This stands out to me the most because although we are only required to take three sciences many students plan to major in science and want to be able to learn more. Another thing I think that could be improved is having students more prepared for college and not waiting until Senior year to let everyone aware with such little time.
