I would like to see teachers keep their students occupied more. The testing is horrible and keeps students anxious. Students are tested back to back with no time to recuperate. Also more time for ACT preparation and AP testing needs to happen. Also so less students will sleep or quit in class. They say students get anxiety and depression from school and I am one student experiencing that. Sometimes I feel the need to not come to school. I want to succeed, but my time in high school is almost over. I just want future students not to go through the episodes I went through in higschool.

If were one thing that stuck out to me in a good way about the school, it would be the size. Because the school is so small, everyone is close to each other on a personal level. There are almost no fight at the school, and the teachers are truly second parents to a lot of the students. If there was one thing I could change about the school, it would be the condition of the school as a whole. WMY is a school full of gifted scholars, but not the equipment to assist the scholars in school work. The building is old, worn down, broken, and unsafe. I believe if the students had a better place of study, then the performance of our school would be even higher than what it is now.
At Whitney Young, the atmosphere is friendly. It's like having a second family you see mostly everyday. Everyone knows each other and look out for each other, and its lovely.
