Whiteside Elementary School Reviews
Rating 2 out of 5 3 reviews
There is no school nurse and there is very little done to protect the kids when they are bullied. A number of children have actually left the school for this very reason. They are more concerned with which family could provide them with more "donations" than the actual children. The school has not been very clean on various occassions. My child brought home his lunch box and it smelled horrible. When I asked him what happened he said he put it in the bin they were told to put their lunch boxes in. Apparently someone's lunch box leaked and no one took the time to clean it. So the smell soaked into his box and I had to buy a new one. There is one boy in the class who has accidents and the teacher lets him sit in it all day.
There seems to be plenty for the older children to do but nothing for the younger kids.
There is nothing done about bullying, my child has been bullied by teachers and students and nothing has been done. My child was described by her classroom teacher to be a model student and a leader. Now my child has become a target and when I’ve tried to address the bullying nothing has happened. Whiteside has been in the news for recent bullying incidents and sexual acts done by students because of lack of supervision and I feel as though their supervision is still poor, that is why so many bullying incidents happen on their busses and on school grounds. My daughter has tried to seek help when getting bullied and was scolded terribly for getting up trying to get help.
