Whitesboro has something for every type of student. Everything was honestly great until COVID hit, but now some of the teachers don’t know how to use technology which is a nuisance for students. Most of my teachers have been making a decent effort to keep students engaged during hybrid learning. The football team is really good but leads to other sports getting overlooked. My advice to anyone looking at Whitesboro is to get involved in clubs music and sports. The music program has so many electives and extra curricular activities and all of the teachers are helpful.
All was great until COVID hit, now administration is forcing zoom down the teachers throat and creates an unhealthy learning style for students
Whitesboro High School provides a positive and informative learning environment which is effectively preparing me for college. I'm thankful for the opportunities and interactions I've experienced at Whitesboro High School and look forward to applying my learned skills in college and beyond.
My experience was very good. I would recommend others to join Whitesboro high school. It is a very welcoming environment.
I liked the classes that were offered for AP and dual credit. I’d like to see the administration change the way they do things.
Whitesboro high school is a pretty decent school with good teachers and a pretty decent course list. However, there are fights and a drug problem at the school as some students vape, smoke marijuana, or get into fights. We have pretty good athletics but there is a huge emphasis on football and some sports get swept under the rug as a result.
I do not recommend attending Whitesboro High School. If you like mediocre academics, terrible guidance counselors, teachers with terrible attitudes who constantly put down students and do absolutely nothing to help them, and are extremely sexist and racist, then you will love this school. I have not enjoyed my time here and I am so glad to get out of this hell hole. Everything about this place is unprofessional, I had extensive surgery and the teachers did absolutely nothing to help me as I was recovering and only made rude remarks because I missed their classes. It is just an "ok" school, the only thing they have going for them is their football team. You will graduate feeling completely unprepared for college, and below average compared to other students attending, that is if your guidance counselor submits your transcript on time, and not in the middle of July.
My experience at Whitesboro High School has been excellent thus far. The teachers really care about their job and the students. The school motto:”Do your job, be on time, and be nice to people”, reflects the morales of our school and the morales we should have in life. Whitesboro offers an extensive variety of after school clubs and sports, there is truly something for everyone here at W’boro.
I always enjoyed going to my high school and they did try to have a whole variety of clubs for the students
Whitesboro High School teachers are very inspirational. They lead you into a direction that makes a student into a more mature young adult. The guidance department sucks! They do not lead you into the right direction for college and they do not help you with any problems that you have. On the other hand, the administration has good intentions to make their students a success. Also, the kids are crazy, immature, and disrespectful! I do not know if it is the parents fault, the living situations, peer influences, or the lack of discipline the entire district accesses during the students progression, but someone needs to teach these children some manners!
I would like to see more qualified teachers who truly understand the course content and can teach in other ways besides lecture and note taking. I would also like to see that all of their guidance counselor be capable of truly guiding each student towards their career choice. I would like to see more involvement between the counselors and the students in the planning and preparation of their post-education career.
Whitesboro High School has led me to become involved in many activities, both academically and socially. In my years I have been involved in many various clubs, sports teams and have even become a member of National Honor Society and Student Council. Whitesboro High School truly prepares kids for colleges and teaches them how to mature into a responsible, hard-working individual.
Whitesboro has offered great opportunities including all matters. Overall, the school is great and preparing environment for allowing students to achieve their academic goals.
Great school for those who want to pursue academic achievements. Diversity is not their strength, since the district is more rural than the bigger ethnic / refugee community in nearby city. Phenomenal music program and strong athletic competition. The arts program is decent but could be stronger.
We have had a great experience from 9-12. The teachers, counselors and staff are great to work with as a parent.
For the most part, Whitesboro High School is a great school with great academic opportunities. There are many AP classes to choose from, as well as many Dual-Credit classes, which some colleges accept the credits from that specific class.
I love Whitesboro High School and all the teachers and administrators. Great education and place to grow up. My father graduated from Whitesboro and loved it here. He and myself now can relate to so many stories and staff. I experienced teachers that truly cared about me and my education and how to become the best young adult I can be. I feel confident going to college graduating from here and well prepared.
