I have been attending White Plains since Kindergarten, and I have had amazing teachers and administrators guiding me along the way. However, I have noticed some limitations in our school's education system. We have a limited selection of AP classes, and we do not offer courses like Psychology or Calculus. Nevertheless, I believe that my school has done an excellent job in preparing us students for college.
On another note, I feel that our Music and Arts department deserves more attention and resources. Our school does not have a theater program, and as a member of the high school band, I have noticed that our funding is not sufficient. Consequently, our band struggles to reach its full potential.
Overall, I believe White Plains High School is a great institution, but some areas require improvement.

It was an overall good experience, it certainly has room to grow. It needs improvements in the infrastructure of the school, certain teachers are good. Doesn't really have much school spirit and or extracurricular activities other than sports.
My high school taught me a lot about overcoming challenges and solving problems. I am happy to say I go to White Plains High.
My school has administrators that don’t really care about the success of every student. They say they do. But they don’t encourage every student. Almost half of the teachers are coaches. These are some of the most lazy coaches I’ve ever known. Academics is completely terrible since most classes are taught by coaches that don’t care.
I was a substitute teacher at this school. The students were often given A grades even though they had not even completed an assignment. The teacher responsible for this was a coach and football was more important than teaching the subject he was assigned to teach. What kind of life lesson was taught to these kids given an A for doing absolutely nothing?
My overall experience at White Plains High School was a valuable one in which I learned how to effectively study and balance academics with sports. I always sought opportunities to challenge myself in the classroom especially in the areas of math and English. In addition, instructors were willing to assist me in any areas in which I may have needed additional tutoring.
I love the community aspect. The administration and faculty are always very helpful. My experience here has been amazing.
I graduated from White Plains High School in 2018. It has been my favorite school. I always loved the drive to and back from school because of how it is located in the country. It's a pretty small school, but the people of White Plains have BIG hearts. It may be small, but we all feel like we are family and that will never change no matter where our paths take us. The school stays very clean and freshly painted. You could not even tell that the school is decades old! Overall, I would not have picked any other school to go to if I could go back in time.
Growing up at White Plains has been a blessing to me. The teachers and staff have always been nice and have understood what it is to be a student at school.
WPHS has strong academics in most areas, but teacher attitude could be improved. Academic support is strong, and the counselor does her best to make us aware of academic and job-related opportunities. Community solidarity only in times of crisis.
White Plains High School has many positives as well as negatives. While the social standards of the school aren't always exceptional, the academic environment goes beyond expectations. We have always had very educated teachers, especially in the department of science and mathematics. Even though our academics are vital to assist us in thriving, the social surroundings are also extremely imperative. Diversity as well as culture are often not the focus of administration; some students' needs aren't met as appropriate as possible. Overall, our school does provide an educational environment in order to prepare us not only for college but also for the work place.
Throughout my years, I made many friends and connections through the networking available here! I was involved in band, choir, student government, prom committee, and more! There's plenty to get involved in to keep you busy and the teachers are always there to help!
I like the teachers and how they push you to do you're very best. I would for the building to be rebuilt due to how old is it. Everyone is nice to each other no bullying is allowed.
I was in a very bad situation in high school that involded me moving out at 16 if I didnt have that school I would ahve been homeless and would have dropped out if it wasnt for the staff I probably still would have dropped out
White Plains High School is one of the most friendly and advancing public schools in the South. With teachers that allow students to participate in higher education, there is no surprise at it's test scores. Definitely an environment for the advanced and even the regular student.
The best school compared to Faith Christian and Donoho. The teachers and administration are fair and companionate; while still being challenging and hard working.
White Plains High School is in the middle of a tight knit community full of outstanding individuals. The staff members and teachers go above and beyond to help and educate all students. There is a great level of positivity that radiates through the halls that’s stems from the optimism of the teachers. In addition, the teachers will not stop at anything to make sure the students grasp and have a deep understanding of all topics taught. Overall, White Plains High School is outstanding.
