This school is academically challenging and students are further along than their peers in traditional schools. The only negative is that the administration plays favorites with certain teachers who should be let go, but are not because of their relationship with administration. This school does encourage parent involvement and the Administrator/Principal has an open door policy which allows parents to talk to administration any time they are not busy.
I had a great experience at White Pine! The classes were small so I had a lot of instruction and one on one time with the teacher and because of that, I got to know my teachers better and we could have fun together. Learning was personal as teachers kept up with students and allowed them to progress at their own pace. Teachers were creative and provided unique, hands-on learning activities. I really had a wonderful time at White Pine and I was well prepared when I got to high school.
