During my experience at Wheaton North, I was able to begin great friendships that will last the rest of my life, pursue excellence in my academics, and participate in a multitude of extracurricular activities.

The community at Wheaton is great. During the school, academic rigor doesn't get in the way of your social life. Many of the classes are informal, encouraging students to interact and collaborate with each other. As an added bonus, Seniors are given an extended lunch period to catch up with their friends.

The teachers at Wheaton North are top-notch. They went out of their way to help me one-on-one and encourage me in my efforts. Even beyond that, each teacher at the school has a wildly distinctive personality. It's very amusing!

Finally, Wheaton North offers many options for extracurricular activities. For example, I participated in boys volleyball for my first two years at the school. I'm also part of several honor societies that give me opportunities to serve the community!

Most teachers of Wheaton North High School love their jobs and want the best for their students. They take the time to make sure each student understands the material and offer opportunities to better their education. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this school because of how much I learned. It isn't always about the textbook -- it's about what you learn and how you can use your knowledge throughout your life.
Wheaton North is a high academic school that places a lot of priority on test scores and doing well in classes. It was too easy to get caught up in doing everything they said you needed to do for college. There was a lot of pressure to take unnecessary classes and put extra stress on yourself for rewards that don't always pay off. The town it's located in isn't very diverse, so it's not surprising there isn't much diversity in the school. I would say it's a good school, and good is about average.
