I’m a junior and although the year was crazy hectic and stressful, most of my teachers helped make it less chaotic. Although, there were a few teachers who made the stress even worse by not teaching well or overloading work. Specifically, one of my teachers never knew what they were teaching about and never responded to emails. In addition the teacher was very unreasonable with every assignment and every grade. Overall, I do love Wheatley though. It’s such a small school that everyone knows every and I love that!
Teachers are the highlight and the school is the perfect amount of competitiveness. Compared to neighboring schools, it's not viciously competitive like Jericho but more competitive than easy-going schools like Carle Place. Athletics may not be the best, but that's a blessing in disguise. It's not extremely difficult to make the basketball team or start on the varsity lineup in wrestling, so athletes at Wheatley get a lot of playing time. Small schools also encourage kids to behave better since word gets around the school fast and you'll have to see the kid you pissed off everyday in the hallway since the school isn't exactly large.
Many students may not call there High school excellent, For me Wheatley High schol gave me an amazing experience and opportunity to push myself to become my very best. Yes there are always ups and Downs during high school. I used to attend the Roosevelt HS, the level of education was not the greatest. Moving to East williston the faculty members all believed in me to become a better version of myself and push foward to accomplish the diffuclt task of getting good grades or particapating in sports. I had very little faith when I started a new school, the thought surrounded my mind "there is no way I will graduate" to me having little faith is unfortunate due to my way of lifestyle and religon. Here I am in my last year of highschool proud of myself and with so much more confidence and faith. I am so thankful that God restored my Faith and presented me with an amzing opportunity at the Wheatley Highschool, with that I thank the theachers that help me accomplish my High school years.
