Great staff and comfortable environment. There were a lot of sports and clubs offered to the students with a wide variety. The school nurse and cafeteria crew were so nice! Most teachers were great and understandable. The school was a clean atmosphere .I only gave four stars because It did feel that the school’s administration favored sports over education which was aggravating to the students who worked hard academically. However with all this said, I actually enjoyed my high school experience here and am definitely going to miss it!
Westview highschool has some of the best teachers that I've ever had. A dedicated french and theater teacher who will forever be my favorite, a band director that is like another father to several people, an art teacher that encourages you to be your best whatever that may be. That said, Westview also has it's priorities all wrong. Sports are held way too highly and athletes are basically allowed to free reign, which is a major probably if you're anyone but an athlete! The arts aren't held in high enough regards for the work that they put in. It's not a terrible school but it could definitely do with some revamping!
Westview High School has changed drastically throughout my high school career. My senior year has been the best year at Westview because of the change in administration and the involvement with the students. Our new principal cares a lot about academics and the students who attend Westview. New classes are offered almost every year, and club involvement is at an all time-high. It's reassuring to know that after I graduate the underclassmen will be attending a school that is constantly improving.
