I like that Westland has a variety of sports, They have so many that I do not know which sports to play, I just want to do them all. I dislike that some teachers do not prepare the students For college or the next grade. In the other hand, most teachers will be with you till the end. They help you study, prepare for exams, and understand the material. So far Westland has been a great experience. I remember my freshman year when I didn’t want to try out for any sport because I was to shy, but now I want to be in every sport I can possibly join. This will make my high school experience better. Being part of a team is great because you bond with different people because you all like the same sport. My biology was great, I will always remember what she did for me, she kept on believing that I could do it, she stayed late In school to help study. At the end of the year I got a 5, because my teacher believed in me. I will never forget my first year of high school.

So far its been a very decent school. Most of the teachers are good, but it really depends on which one you get. The school is big and there's no problems with walking in the hallways between classes, and there's many spots in the cafeteria for lunch. There is always different types of people to make friends with. As for diversity, there is mostly Hispanics meaning there isn't much variety.
I mainly took AP or Honors classes to avoid the lower leveled classes that were packed with students who were constantly disruptive. It was a bit frustrating how the administration doesn't really care about the arts department; always placing as many students as they can into a music class rather than taking the time to create a proper class for those actually interested. I did like how the Law program is slowly getting better. From Mock Trial to Student Court, these law classes sure were more interesting and hands-on than most classes. The school is a bit of a mess in terms of academics and student participation, but it's a fairly new school and the students are really the ones to blame.
