Westlake Christian Academy is not perfect--no school is, especially small private schools. Sure, they do not have as many AP classes or clubs as a public school, but that's what you would expect from such a small school. What differentiates Westlake is the people. Never have I had such a group of caring teachers or friends around me. Everyone there, student or faculty, truly cares about you and your education. Furthermore, the spiritual formation at the school is incredible. Westlake has helped me grow in my faith significantly, even though I was only there for a few short years. Additionally, there are benefits to going to a smaller school! Camaraderie within classes was wonderful, and even an average athlete can compete on multiple varsity sports teams. Even though it often gets a bad rep, I would hands down fully recommend Westlake to any parents or students looking for a quality education in a Christian environment; you won't find anywhere better!

Westlake Christian Academy is an incredible school. Of course, they do not have the resources of a public school, but they do the best with what they have. The community is absolutely phenomenal and the teachers truly love and care for the students, both in their spiritual lives and academics. I could not recommend Westlake enough!
I graduated Westlake several years ago and attended a four year college immediately after. After attending college, I have come to realize just the type of place Westlake is.

To start off, many of the teachers have bachelor level degrees, if at all that, and teach outside of their background of study. To put it bluntly, classes and education at Westlake under prepare students for the workload and overall knowledge necessary for college, especially in STEM majors.

While I was in my Westlake bubble I was unaware of how mysoginsitic, anti-feminist, and slightly homophobic and racist the administration and classrooms were. For example, even though no dances were allowed, Westlake still had formal events, however, girls' dresses had to be pre-approved by a female teacher to ensure that the dress did not come above the knee. This overall implies to girls that women are to blame for sexual assault/harassment and men are not in control of themselves.
