Western Sierra is a great environment to get ready for college while variety of stuff can be improved, this school has many noticeable benefits that can be look over. While it is small school in make a friendly environmental and rich academical readiness which unite many student who want to get good education. This factor influence the improvement and motivation in one another as one learn from another to try to achieve excellence academic performance. Not only students but also pears, consolers and other staff have supportive motivation base on student performance to help them achieve what they are looking for, not only academically but also safety, satisfaction and mostly feeling you are accepted.
I have been a student at WSCA for 3 years, and so far I have loved and enjoyed my experience. The teachers, staff, admin, classes, and a majority of students are great. Due to the size of the school the culture and community is vastly different from other schools in our area, and the usual stereotypes or student clichés are not as apparent. I love the academic rigor of the school, but as a freshman currently I do not feel challenged or tested. Both the school and board have done great coping with the ongoing pandemic.
My least favorite part of WSCA is the lack of opportunities. While the college preparation is great, I feel like we lack a lot of clubs, abroad programs, and sports that other schools offer. As a student I am very interested in Debate, Model UN, DECA, etc which are not available to me. After being at Western Sierra for 3 years, I feel stagnant with clubs and abroad programs- almost bored with the things offered to me.
I still love my school, fight wolves fight!

This school may be small, barely scraping up to 900 kids, but the energy we bounce off of one another makes up for it. The programs here are aimed to better assist the student in every way rather than keep them chained to rigid rules. While the curriculum is tough and not something anyone can just breeze through, opportunities are mercifully gifted to everyone. The goals of this school are to truly help teach a student instead of bogging them down with grade point averages and ruthless expectations. Here at WSCA, teachers genuinely care for their students, offering real assistance and opportunities for students to excel. We believe in second chances when a student doesn't pass a test with the grade they desired.
