Western is an average high school. Most teachers are great at educating and impacting students. Over the years, there have been incidents of some Western students and teachers doing things that reflect poorly on the school; however, Western always bounces back. This school is a community that will support its students and faculty in times of need. The smaller size allows for a more intimate setting between classmates, teachers, and other faculty.

I am a senior at Western. I personally believe that sports are more important than academics to this school in every way. We have a new multi-purpose facility that costs a lot, but as a PUBLIC school, our parents are paying out the butt to send us to school. Everything has a fee, even if we don't use it! Like books, we pay for all the books we get and some classes only have class sets. Why are we paying for this if we can only use it in class? Also, the school lunches are TERRIBLE. On a positive note, there are many teachers that want to see each student succeed and strive to help in every way possible. Also, the counselors do everything they can to fulfill your wants and needs.
Western will hold a special place in my heart because of the connections I was able to create with my fellow peers. Besides the fantastic learning environment, the teachers are always there with a kind word of encouragement with no social bias. While the school is not perfect, I will always love the time I spent in the establishment.
