Western was a very well experience I had a fun time being in the classes teachers really work with students. Students always have extra help if anything, sports was something special about it. The people you meet have fun memories with the thing I would like for a change. Is really for us to improve as a school more resources, it's already great!

There was a joke among peers and even at least one teacher I knew of that everything was the "Western Way". This meant that our teams generally lose against anyone in the valley, that students have a general apathy, and that even the teachers don't care because we were underfunded and underserved. The women's restroom was either unusable for many days, or had no toilet paper. We did not have enough money for take-home books. Many parents of these students spoke Spanish, so administration usually was useless in speaking to parents. Many more parents had trouble making ends meet, so many students struggled. Long-term substitute teachers were the norm. Hall monitors were at best unpleasant as they would beep at you to move (from inside their vehicles) as you would try to make it to class, and at worst racist. If you were brown or black, you could get in trouble for doing virtually nothing (including by teachers). Many students were not properly placed in classes required for graduation.
Some of the things that’s I like about western high school is that there’s committed teachers that are ready to teacher their students and are always willing to help no matter what. But at the same time the school does have its down side, for example, the student starting commotion and having petty fights during school, the students probably don’t care what happens to them but the never understand that what they do affects them and the school. Even so I had my ups and downs with this school and I hope for the up coming school years that the school will be a safe place for students and teachers.
