I would like to see the administrative staff change. They were always frightening to see in the hallways or around school in general. The safety precaution measures were taken up to a higher standard which was good. However, in the case of an emergency (ex. a fire) everyone would be running trying to cram through a tiny gate or trying to flee the scene but they can't reach safety because of the new locking metal fence doors. Overall, my experience at Western High School was one of the most difficult, overwhelming, exhausting four years of my life that I wouldn't take back for anything!

Honestly I only went to Western my freshman and sophomore year and I had so much fun there. All the activities, the clubs, and the good friendships I made there have shaped me to the person I am today. The things I did not like there was their school lunch, because it always looked fake and their rude staff. No not everyone was rude, western high school really has very nice people working there, it was mostly the ladies in student affairs. But, overall it was really fun and the school allowed me to reach my potential to the max! I am currently a senior outside of the US, and I still miss western and its fun traditions.
I am currently an incoming senior at Western High School and so far my years there have shaped me as a better person. I have met people from all cultural backgrounds and places in the world, which has made me more open-minded and understanding of other people's circumstances. Although I have grown as a person at this school, this growth has been limited due to the lack of college readiness preparation offered. Students are often unaware of several opportunities that they have access to because the school fails to advise their students. In other words, there is little to no help given to students regarding their future, and administration often fails to listen to the students. In addition, sanitation at this school could be significantly better. A lot of the teachers are amazing and helpful individuals; however, some really lack motivation in helping their students be successful. Overall, Western High has the potential to be above average, which hopefully occurs in the future.
