Western High School was essentially one of the best schools I've ever attended, including with college experience. When entering college, my colleagues and I thought it was the worst and hardest thing we could experience but truly, Western made it that way so we could be prepared for anything. Western prepares their students for any life challenge, especially that any girl transitioning into a young woman, could face. Western's big sister, little sister program helps the children grow. From academics to althetics, Western has proved to be a phenomenal college preparatory high school. The sisterhood that the school instills helps you believe that everything will always be ok. So much growth can be achieved at Western. The only cons are the establishment physically and some of the higher staff and their connection with the students and their wants and needs.

I am currently a member of the class of 2017 at Western High School. I say that with pride whenever anyone asks me where I attend because I love my school! During my freshmen year there were several issues because of the lack of leadership roles at Western. This year we have a dedicated principal who is a Western alumna and many students and teachers can already see a positive change in our environment. What can be improved is how serious students should take their education, This generates an improper reflection of the school overall and i believe with motivation the school can come as one to get more students excited about school.
Western has great opportunities for students to start on a career path in just 10th grade. The administration is very concerned with making sure the students are well prepared for college. The staff are hardworking and dedicated to seeing your student succeed. The downside is the students. They are often rude and will sometimes disrupt the class to argue with the teacher. But there are plenty of goal-oriented students. If you are a student who is capable of not getting swayed into the wrong crowd, then you will most likely get the best out of your education at Western.
