WTA is undersubscribed, underfunded, and unable to attract and retain qualified staff. Faced with a sizable defection of families in the 2019/20 school year, WTA offered substantial tuition discounts managing to attract about 40 new students only to have total enrollment still drop by over 10%. On the staffing front over a dozen of the thirty or so staff members did not return this year. In an effort to staff the school WTA hired unqualified teachers including those with zero teaching experience, out of practice retired teachers, and teachers who left teaching only to return to teaching after other failed career choices. WTA is completely mismanaged and the board should get rid of current management and restaff starting with bringing Rabbi Strosberg back. If you need daycare, WTA is fine. If you want your children to have a quality education look elsewhere.

WTA is a truly amazing school. Students get individualized learning plans, learn in small groups, the atmosphere is so warm and cohesive. Secular studies are emphasized and taught in creative ways. Hebrew studies and Ivrit are amazing, Hebrew teachers are native Hebrew speakers and my kids are babbling in Hebrew. WTA parent community is so warm and supportive, they welcome feedback and strive to improve every year. We are really happy with the school and recommend it to everyone.
WTA is a new school and they are themselves learning how to run a school with the unfortunate side effect of the students being test subjects.

For example, school days were made longer, computer programs used to teach students keep changing, different teaching strategies are applied, etc. And, as the previous post stated, there is an alarming amount of teachers that do not return each year.

Another concern is that for many activities, grades are combined to save costs. It is not cost effective to teach two grades independently when there are so few students. For example, the 5th and 6th grades combined total 28 students.
