West Valley High School is underrated. The staff is kind and the students are creative, as long as you talk to the right ones. I felt supported throughout my four years at this school, despite the stereotypical feeling of Senioritis and wanting it to just be done with. I was just sad once it was. Not because of the few friends that I had and soon lost after graduation (growing up changes people), but because of the teachers and the programs. I was sad I wouldn't be able to learn more about what I was being taught and that I wouldn't be taught by those same familiar and sweet faces. West Valley may have not had the most to offer compared to other competing schools, and it may not have been the best, but it will always be the most memorable to those lucky enough to experience it. I enjoyed my time learning out in The Pasture all the while admiring the cows not far from outside of the classrooms.
West Valley was not very impacting on me. I wish that there were more AP and CP classes that would have helped me more. There are very limited options offered at this high school and I wish I had been challenged more than I was in the classes I did take. This high school is very closed minded and only cares about their sports programs, especially their football team. This school was very average, if not less than that. I wish that this school had been more involved in a lot more things than their publicity. Not being able to have an open campus during lunch or having free periods was a downside as well. I would say that West Valley has a lot to improve on and that they should definitely focus on their students more than they do.
