The education I received from West Side was well planned and deliberate from the teachers' delivery. There is a lot of training the teachers at West Side go through and it showed in their ability to portray concepts in ways I really understood them. The school has a very nice set up that allowed me to progress farther than a regular high school education, allowing me the opportunity to receive an associates from Utah State University and an additional degree from SCITECH along with graduating with my high school diploma.
Teachers are great, kids are awesome. Could use some more activities like diffrent plays and stuff. Mr Woodward deserves a raise for how awesome all his classes are.
For the most part, I view the time I spent at West Side High School as a very positive experience. Since West Side is a smaller school, you get to know all of your classmates pretty well and you develop personal relationships with your teachers. I loved that private help from my teachers was always readily available when I needed it.
The one complaint that I have about West Side is that not all of the programs are created equal in the eyes of the administration. All money was sent to the sports programs while the arts programs were left to struggle on their own. As I'm now a music major, I would have liked to have been provided with more opportunities to my chosen field prior to entering college.
