I like how involved the faculty are, they want you to do well. My teachers challenged me to take harder classes and were involved in helping me not just do well on the test, but actually understand. I also like how West High is committed to making the school equitable for everyone, constantly working to make West High a safe environment for every student. The students are also very welcoming and tend to stay away from the stereotypical high school social hierarchy.
I liked the diversity that is at West High School. One thing that I would love to change is how they prepare us for college. For example, when and how we start looking into college applications and scholarships. Overall, West High is an amazing school!
It is a high-end acedemic school, with large extracurricular programs and many competitions. It has many resources for students, and it is open to making changes when it sees fit. The teachers are usually encouraging students to do their best. The only real complaint I have is it creates an environment of academic competition among students, making students who have anything less than a 3.5 GPA feel inferior. It has large facilities and is always expanding its curriculum.
