I am a soon to be senior attending West High, and I can attest to the fact that West High is an excellent school. The teachers are amazing for the most part, although there are some good ones and some bad ones. The environment is one that allows students to succeed, with plenty of resources available, provided by librarians and others. And the athletic programs are very good, as numerous athletes who can succeed attend this school. Although there are some issues such as crowding in the cafeteria, I am glad the administration is willing to do something about it. Plenty of clubs at this school too, and the administration does an excellent job at promoting inclusivity. West High Best High.

Being a student at west senior high school has changed me as a person, from the moment I had first walked in, I was shy and didn't really have any idea for my future plans other then finishing high school. But with the help of many of my teachers and having many talks with my administrative councilor they had helped me know what I want to be and making sure that I can get into a good affordable college, through ways I never would of thought. Not only has they helped me formalize my future but they also helped me through personal problems through my ups and downs, and always has a staff or administrative that can help with any type of homework problems that I have. My mos favorite part of west high school is having a close bond with the teachers which is always enjoyable and also makes both of our days a great day. West High School is not only a school, it a community, its a family.
I really enjoy West High and my ability to meet people from a variety of backgrounds. My perspective of the world has grown tremendously since my freshman year and continues to grow. Teachers and staff are there to support you and in my personal experience really act upon that. One of my teachers and coach, has honestly made me the person I am today and I owe West High that. The sports at west are really great and are something definitely to attend and or join. Several students each year get recruited to D1 schools. Regardless of whatever you want to do West has it, or can have it. With over 50 school clubs, it’s pretty easy to find your way and if not it’s not hard to start your own. We have a really amazing theater and music program, and have a varsity and JV show choir team . We have a renowned school newspaper and there’s a lot of ways to be involved. My only hesitation is the lack of plant based food at West and as a vegetarian I have gone some days without eating.
