I graduated from West Sabine High School May of 2013. The academics weren't challenging at all until I started dual credit courses my the summer of my sophomore year and then school was somewhat challenging. A great place for sports, as that's all the teachers, staff and parents care about. I wouldn't recommend this school at all! Go to Hemphill, as the have better teachers, UIL, academics, and afterschool activities, not just sports and band.

West Sabine is a small school with multiple classes to choose from. The teachers are nice and are very good at explaining everything. The classes are small enough to where the teacher can fully make sure everyone understands the content. The guidance department is great and the athletics is very well. The school is clean, the staff is friendly, and everyone is nice!
I like that this school is small and that everyone knows everyone, I love that they are very supportive of each other and of the sports. I would however like to see changes in the academic studies. It's more sports than smarts it seems sometimes. I took my junior year here and I am finishing my senior year here, it's very different from the big school that I came from. I am not in any cliques here at school because I have never really had an abundance of friends but I am part of the student council and the science club and hopefully in the near future I will participate in some UIL events. I think this school does very well in their UIL and their sports teams. It's a good school for a small town.
