Attending West Port high was an amazing and fun experience. You can learn about anything! My favorite subject was computer engineering because of how fun the teacher made the subject. Something great about this high school would be how as you start your year at the school, you can also start college! Meaning you are going to college as attending West Port High. Anyone call also graduate with a high school diploma and their A.A or A.S from college. This allows everyone to get a taste of what college is at a early start. A thing that I would like to see change at West port would an improvement on their sports! They have a pretty strong support from the school but players can be improving better at a higher athletic levels.
West Port has a reputation as primarily an arts school and was the main reason I attended it my freshmen year, I was pleasantly surprised it had much more to offer in terms of early college, sports, and a wide cast of amazing teachers as well as support staff than originally thought. The most unique of all comes in the form of ALPHA time (Power Hour) an amazing set of time that dramatically serves to improve the grades and quality of life for all the students at West Port Ultimately my time here has been certainly been a remarkable experience encompassing all the ups and downs of a solid high school, Go Wolf Pack!
West Port High School gave me the best high school experience I could've asked for. All the teachers are very involved in the students academic life but also in their personal life by making sure that everything was okay at home and that they were doing okay. Our passing rates were so high for that same reason, everyone is so involved and they also offer so many opportunities with the programs they have. It is a very diverse school and it always makes sure that all students are involved regardless of age, race, gender, etc... Throughout all 4 years I was always assured a place with everyone else in whatever I wanted to participate in and also I was always lead in the right path by the teachers to have the most successful outcome. It was an amazing experience and if it were for me I would love to repeat all 4 years and go through that amazing experience and I would encourage anyone to attend West Port High School and have the best experience of their life.
