I have been attending West Orange High School for four years. The administration is very strict and stress the rules for our safety. Our programs after school are phenomenal, students are involved with the sports, theater, music, political, and entertainment programs. Academically there are an abundant amount of classes to take along with multiple advance classes.West Orange is very diverse, the families are very involved in all activities taking place in and outside the school. The safety of our students are a priority, all doors in our school have a ID swipe to get in, along with all doors have alarms from the inside, if opened it will be activated. Within the school are eight security guards and a police officer. At all times students, visitors and facility wear Ids and if not will be guided to security for one or exited from the building.West Orange High School are a family of Mountaineers!

I enjoyed attending West Orange High School for all 4 years. I love how extremely diverse the students are which teaches everyone a lot. It definitely exposes students and staff to a variety of unique and beautiful cultures. I also love how every student has a Chromebook. Chromebooks are extremely beneficial to those who cannot afford a computer. It makes students' lives so much easier as they can easily research and complete assignments at home. There is also a huge library with many computers and printers in which students can use at any time. The administration could be unreasonable at times and the safety in school can and should definitely be improved. There are so many clubs and activities to join at West Orange High School so there is always something to do! Some teachers are absolutely amazing and completely engaged with students while others are boring and seem not to care.
I love being a Mountaineer at West Orange High School. Principal Moore is awesome and such a supporter of students. He actually comes out a lot to support student games and events even on weekends and at away games and functions too ! I love my teachers (well honestly, most of them) and I have a solid circle of friends that will remain long after high school. My time at WOHS has been a terrific experience that has not only prepared me for college but will travel with me through-out my college journey ! Last point, the food at my high school gets two thumbs down. Luckily, there is a Burger King in walking distance! :-)
