Such a good school! Great athletic program that gets the whole school involved. Great teachers that actually care about their students. A well kept campus that has security cameras that help you feel very safe. Administration is well involved with the school, and are always out and about talking to students and sitting in on classes. Wonderful arts department that showcases many different talents of students that don't enjoy sports (unless they're in marching band of course).

This school did not provide anything to people with interests outside of sports. While some of the AP classes are great, some of the average classes can very from good to poor in terms of teaching. They lack classes for arts, as they only go to 2D Art 2 (some schools have AP Studio Art, and have much more options for art class in general). There’s a Photoshop class that can be useful. There’s a class learning Microsoft office that is useful. But if you’re not involved in sports, chances are that there will be no after school activities for you to like. Yes, there’s band, BETA, and honor society. Thankfully, they introduced a creative writing club (let’s see how long it lasts). Hopefully they’ll offer an art club next. I think the school needs to understand that not everyone likes sports. Some people enjoy the arts. It was difficult for me to have extracurricular activities in my years there due to not having many options...
West Nassau County High School is a great place to attend school and obtain an education. The administration really cares about the future of the students. Even though Nassau County is growing our parents are very involved and we love our small town atmosphere. From sporting events, proms, open houses, and after school clubs, our parents come out and support us. I think the school has a lot to do with that because they make the parents want to be involved by keeping a very open and welcoming environment. The principal is awesome and I believe most students would agree with me. He attends games, events, clubs and other after school activities. His wife usually comes with him to support us, they even attend out of town sporting events and other club events! He really wants our school to be the best in Nassau County and I believe overall we are the best school out of the four high schools in Nassau County.
