All the teachers were very helpful in my success. I feel like the school was small enough to allow me to be noticed. I was given all the supplies I needed to excel. I started out being very shy but by the time I graduated I was very confident in myself and became very popular. I had all the resources I needed to complete my assignments. The teachers were always very accessible to us. Even during COVID, our learning continued and I was able to complete my classes and graduate as scheduled. It was hard work for the teachers to get our assignments to us and I appreciate their dedication to every single student. The principal was very nice and enthusiastic. She shows up every day with a smile on her face and made sure to be accessible to us. I had some.of the best years of my life at Weat. I'm going to miss the school very much. The school prepared me for college and for life itself. I live in a very small town and I don't think I could have received a better education anywhere else.
What I liked about this school was the AFJROTC program that not only provided the student body with an opportunity for career and colligate advancement, but also provided students with a family outside of their own homes.
WMHS is located in a very small town, which reflects the school. With less funding means less activities. Although the teachers were incredible, the whole educational system should be changed. WMHS focused more on athletics than scholar.
I did not like much about West Montgomery High School except for some of the teachers. I would personally change the prices of the snacks for lunch as well as add more choices for school lunches. I would also recommend to add different clubs for the school so everyone can have a good time in school while learning.
I feel like the teachers could care about the information that they teach more. Also, the students should be taught equality because there’s so much bullying that goes on. Overall it’s a pretty nice school, I just think It needs more opportunities.
What I like about west Montgomery high school is that its in a small town. We have under 500 students that attend. However, with that we don't have many teachers is we have very big classes. I would like to change that we need more teacher and that would make less people in classes and might help some kids learn better.
The school values sports over academics. They took away concession stands from my club, The Beta club. We earned over $10,000 serving and cooking food for people who attend sporting events.
I'm currently a student at West Montgomery, I'm a senior to be specific. I've been attending West Montgomery for 4 years, and I've witnessed some things and some things have happened to me. Being at West, I've learned that you can not trust anyone, it's better if you don't have friends, and I've learned that the teachers really do not care. The things that I'd like to see change are the tasteless food, the careless teachers, the endless disrespect from student to student and student to teacher, and for the current assistant principal to be resigned. West Montgomery is truly an alright school, if I had the choice to go to another high school in the state then I'd probably leave. Truly, I guess West Montgomery won't change due to it closing down soon for a new high school to be built.
I liked the size. It's a small school but I really did not feel that I was prepared for college when I got there.
I really enjoy the freedom we have at west Montgomery high school and the help we receive. I would like to see a change in the food we have, to make it better.
Overall it has been a joy the only thing different that I would like to see is some teachers that actually teaches properly.
I didn't start my high school career here, but I did enter in my sophomore year of high school and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The school gives you a sense of family, it is a small community where you can't go wrong in hanging around with just about everybody. People have manners and respect for each other and we all know, for the most part, where we stand with each other. It's an all-around friendly school that I think anybody would love.
The teachers at West Montgomery High School, for the most part, know what they are teaching and how to teach it. They meet the needs of every kid, no matter the kid's learning style. They try to incorporate real-life events and examples to show the students how to function after high school. They are well-rounded and most of them are very polite and friendly and would go out of their way to help anyone who needed, or asked, for it.
It is mostly geared toward sports, but I have been lucky in having quality teachers and caring parents.
We have a good amount of security for our area.
There is a lot of interest but not a lot of funding.
