West Monroe High School had the most amazing environment that made everyone feel welcomed. The staff all cared for the well being especially our principle, Mr. Ainsworth. The teachers were all very understanding when COVID hit, and they gave us slack when quarantined while still pushing us to stay involved. Go rebels!

As far as culture, West Monroe is superior than any other school in north Louisiana. Our student body is extremely connected. However, the administration is TERRIBLE. They constantly make rules to arbitrarily separate student and staff and make it extremely difficult for problems to be solved. Most administrators have an extremely uppity, “better-than-you” attitude. Football and all other sports are great, and we have the best sounding band in the land!
I truly love West Monroe High School. My freshman year was a little intimidating because it was so much bigger than middle school, but orientation helped guide me my first few days. Friday night lights at Rebel Football Stadium are electric and truly a community event! The athletes, band, and fans together make for an exciting and memorable experience. I am proud to be a Rebel.
