West Memphis Christian could be improved. There is a ton of instances I can think of where there has been acts of favoritism that hinders other children's high school experience. The kids who do no have family teaching at West Memphis Christian, or if they do not have a family member on the board, those kids are treated as if they were less important. It is a run down school, and is too expensive to pay for what you get.
West Memphis Christian is a very community oriented school, and although small it also creates the ‘one big family’ atmosphere. It does lack a surplus modern technology available for all students because of financial purpose, but all around it is a great school academically and sprouting wise.
I have attended this school for all of my high school career. It is a small school but with it being so small, the teachers are able to focus on each student. The teaching could be better with a higher improvement of money.
Safe and healthy environment. Academically strong with many extra-curricular opportunities. Serving West Memphis and surrounding area for 50 years. It's worth taking a look!
I like the small classrooms. I like how all teachers are willing to do one on one time. I have loved all the people that I have met.
It’s a great college prep school with small class sizes that allow lots of teacher interaction with students
I have ready enjoyed my time at West Memphis Christian School. There is a small teacher to student ratio, therefore you not just a number among many students. This also gave me the opportunity to have an approachable relationship with my teachers and build lasting friendships with my peers. This is a school that not only educated you but it teachs you to give back to the community by performing community service hours through the year. West Memphis Christian School has provided me with a good education with an Christian experience.
West Memphis Christian School is going down hill drastically. Bullying is never handled, the principal sweeps everything under the rug and only listens to one side of the story, its all about what your last name is and who you know, they never value true talent they only value the money people give to the school, the academics are way behind others schools, football is the only sport that is put out there and you don’t have a high chance of getting a scholarship in any sport, they promote the ipads to be helpful and they never use them, they promote things about the school to the parents that are not true to convince them to send their child there, reports have been made about teachers that disgust me and it terrifies me that my kid is around such a persons that does not get taken care of, teachers have thrown books at kids and have shared personal problems and have had mental breakdowns in front of classes.
I have attended WMCS since the 3rd grade and in my honest opinion its a pretty good school but it has went down over the years in terms of the atmosphere and the activities we do at the school. Overall you will get a good Christian education there.
Very good school. Very good academics. Gym uniforms could use a little work, but besides that, it's a very good school.
The school is not very academically challenging. You are able to put in little amount of effort and come out with low A's. Also, the teachers make allowances and are very easy on students. College readiness is not even a factor at this school.
There were no real options for after school stuff. You were either in "sign up and get in" sports or you were in robotics.
While I didn't have much problem at face value, they shoved their religion down kids throats. Some Bible study teachers were cool with any form of Christianity, but there were others that just would smack you with a bible until you were Church of Christ. There was also an older teacher there who felt kind of pedophile-ish. He played favorites with young girls and it was all around disturbing.
There are a good amount of things to do, but not as much as public schools offer
It's a great place to make lasting friendships and become close to one another
It can be a great learning atmosphere when the students behave
Bullying is not tolerated and anyone doing so will be sent to the principals office.
