I have attended excellent schools in other districts such as Carmel, Indiana and my experience at West Lafayette is unparalleled. I feel completely prepared for college and I've thoroughly enjoyed my academic, club, and athletic experiences at West Side. RDP!
This school is amazing! The music program is excellent and always has great representation in state competitions and events. The honors programs are rigorous and fast-paced. The students are very kind and caring, although it is very competitive.
My family and I moved to America when I was 13 years old. West Lafayette Jr/Sr high school was the first school, I was recommended to go to. My 1st day, I meet my counselor who gave me a tour and patiently waited, until I got successful in opening my locker. I liked how the teachers are very supportive and passionate; somewhat of friendship is built between student and teacher. They would even concur on spending extra time: after school, during lunch, study hall, or their prep hour, to make sure that their students get all the help. One thing, that I might change is the trouble I faced in making friends. Everyone already had their friend group and weren't open to adding new people to it.
Being in an American school is a dream of multiple kids, around the globe. I feel honored to get this opportunity. I have been in my school for nearly five years now and made some really good friends. West Lafayette Jr/Sr High School is truly an academic school, with quite a diversity.
