My family and I moved to America when I was 13 years old. West Lafayette Jr/Sr high school was the first school, I was recommended to go to. My 1st day, I meet my counselor who gave me a tour and patiently waited, until I got successful in opening my locker. I liked how the teachers are very supportive and passionate; somewhat of friendship is built between student and teacher. They would even concur on spending extra time: after school, during lunch, study hall, or their prep hour, to make sure that their students get all the help. One thing, that I might change is the trouble I faced in making friends. Everyone already had their friend group and weren't open to adding new people to it.
Being in an American school is a dream of multiple kids, around the globe. I feel honored to get this opportunity. I have been in my school for nearly five years now and made some really good friends. West Lafayette Jr/Sr High School is truly an academic school, with quite a diversity.
I moved to West Lafayette about two years ago and started attending WL jr/sr High School my junior year. The school was very easy to adapt to. The counselors were very hands on and worked closely with me to make sure that I was on the right track. Teachers always gave students opportunities to meet for extra help whenever necessary, to give us the chance to improve academically. Because our campus is so close to Purdue University campus, we are very diverse and offer amazing classes to prepare us for college and other future options in the workforce.
