I love West Jessamine High School! The teachers care about their students and are there for them. I have spent all four years of my highschool experience at West Jessamine High School and I don't think I would change it for anything. My all time favorite teacher is Mr.Redmond. Mr.Redmond was my freshman English teacher and has always made me feel welcome and comfortable at school. Mr.Redmond goes out of his way to make everyone in the school feel welcomed even if he doesn't know who you are.
West Jessamine High School is very inclusive, everyone is very kind and every student and faculty member are willing to help out anyone who needs it.
its a great school they are an active school and are willing and actively trying to help the students be the best they can be and succeed.
West Jessamine is an outstanding school. The teachers form personal relationships with each in every student and make it a point to check up on you. This not only makes school a better environment for everyone it also helps students enjoy school instead of dreading it. In every class the students not only learn about academics they learn about things that will be used in the real world. For example we have a math class dedicated to learning about taxes, bills, mortgages, and other money life skills that student will need in the future. The one thing that could be worked on is student involvement. Although teachers have a relationship with the students they don’t use it to help make the school better or help make changes in the school. Overall West Jessamine high school is an incredible school.
I liked West Jessamine High School because it was a very welcoming environment. All of the faculty were very nice. I felt that I could confide in my teachers and that my opinion mattered. I will say however, that the school started renovations during my senior year. Some of the renovations I saw as beneficial like the addition of an automotive lab. However, I do not thin the school absolutely needed a redesigned front entrance, as the noise and detours made it difficult to learn effectively.
Super friendly staff that would always go out of there way to help students. Administrators were always fair and ran the school well. Only complaint is that they did a lot of construction during the school years.
As far as academics West has a lot to offer, but especially when dealing with the pandemic the flaws became very prevalent with administration. Their efforts for their students seemed lazy and uninterested.
Attending West High was truly an amazing experience. The staff always showed that they cared for the students. As well as the students being rowdy but respectful at school events to show who we are. I wish I could have finished my senior year and West, but with COVID-19 being a big issue we were not able to. But the students, teachers, and staff has made this transition a lot easier.
The teachers are great here, they genuinely like their jobs and care for their students, I did not feel this at my old school. The teachers do what they can to help you succeed and are very understanding.
Over the last few years at West Jessamine High School I've learned a lot, not only in the classroom but skills to take into the future as well. This school makes it challenging yet doable to gain required credits to graduate and offer so many places for students to get invested. The platforms of support show to help tremendously with students making the most out of the opportunities there in order to succeed. My personal involvement with DECA, Student Government, NHS, the school newspaper, AP and Honors classes and peer tutoring have enabled me to be able to help the school community as well out into the local community. I've been blessed to have been introduced to the many platforms in which my school offers to gain advantage for my life. West Jessamine overall has many opportunities and support systems for their students to get planted in and faculty that cares greatly for their students succession, which has benefited me greatly over the last four years at this institution.
The kids that go there are really mean, but a lot of the teachers are really supportive. I appreciate all the staff that work so hard to make school a good experience every day.
my time at west jessamine high has been amazing, all the teachers here are super helpful and connect with the students in a way i didnt get at my other schools. the students here are also super nice, i love my community and how close we all are.
I am a senior at West Jessamine High school right now. Having gone through four years at this school, I can say that it has brought me everlasting memories and has helped to set me up for success after I graduate. The academic opportunities offered by the school are an amazing way that West high puts you a step ahead in life. While no school is perfect, West High has its faults, however every year I see the administrators attempting to develop new way to improve the school, and everything surrounding it. I have made many friends here, through classes and extra curricular activities and I can't say I would be as prepared and ready to leave if I had attended another school.
I have had a fantastic high school experience. From friends to teachers to academics and sports, it’s been great.
Very good community here, always puts the students first. Very many dual credit and AP offerings here. One thing I would like to see changed is the graduation cords being given back to deserving students.
West Jessamine High School is filled with so many good memories, the teachers their are the absolute best and they truly care about their students. Also West allowed me to be able to complete an Associates degree during my high school career and when taking those Dual Credit classes, they have helped me to be better prepared for college this year and overall had helped form me into a harder worker.
My relationship with my high school is complex. It can be high stress and relaxed. People can be kind or hard to interact with. Overall, I think I had the most average experience at my high school possible. I had a few friends, but I enjoyed most of the people I met from other schools.
