West Islip Senior High School Reviews

The teachers at West Islip Senior High School are extremely qualified and very talented. I have never had an issue with teachers not being able to convey course material because every teacher I've had explained the content in an understandable, engaging manner. Not to mention, West Islip Senior High School's administration ensures that the school functions in an efficient and organized manner. Also, West Islip Senior High School offers a variety of inclusive extracurricular activities, such as honor societies, clubs that extend their outreach into the global community, and creative clubs... there really is something for everyone! I have no complaints about West Islip Senior High School, and my experience attending this school has thus far been very positive and immersive.
I love the arts/music program. I was always in the school musicals, I played the viola in our orchestra and was a member of our chorus. My favorite part was a singing and dance group called vocal motion. We put on 2 shows during our junior and senior years, but unfortunately due to covid - we are no longer able to perform. This was always the highlight of the school. We would go to the elementary and middle schools and put on a performance. When I first witnessed the show in 5th grade, my goal was to make this group...and I did!
I had a great experience attending West Islip High School! While attending I made lifelong friends, played sports, joined clubs, and got ready for my time now at college! I couldn't imagine growing up in another town and attending a different school. West Islip prepared me for life after high school, and even after graduating I am still an active member of the community, along with the school district. I could not be any more grateful for my time spent attending West Islip Senior High School.
