If West High School has taught me anything, it is that we are all capable of doing anything! I have attended West High all through out high school and it has brought a tremendous amount of lessons and memories. This school never failed to provide me with all the knowledge I have ever needed and more. I think that on of the best parts about this school is, in fact, the staff. They are always willing to help you out no matter if they had you in class or not. The counselors provide so much help to every student on campus! The principle and superintendent were at almost every after school activity and knew just about everyone. The atmosphere at school was my favorite part. Our whole student body got along and stuck together. I am so thankful for the bond that West High has allowed me to create with the people around me. I will never forget the school spirit, friendship and leadership that everyone had within them.
I really liked that the high school offered so many opportunities for electives and furthering your education after high school. I also liked that they had updated facilities and technology available for the students. However, I would change how some of the administration runs the school.
At West High, you are constantly bombarded with new and exciting challenges in every class. You are also surrounded by teachers who care about not just your grades, but you as an individual. The students at West are very friendly, social, and trustworthy; they are willing to listen to you about your problems and will help you get through tough times. On top of it all, West provides MANY club opportunities and sports groups to join! We have over eighty students in our band program alone, not to mention our Biomedical, Engineering, Aerospace, Agriculture, and Computer Science classes. Overall, I feel that West can provide for me academically, as well as make me proud of where I studied as a teenager.
