When thinking about my school, a lot of positive memories come to mind. During my first years at West, I have made genuine friendships, covered and completed a multitude of coursework, and made great relationships with various teachers. At West, the facility is caring and wants to see their students succeed. The teachers have prepared their students well to succeed in not only high school, but also time after high school as well. I am blessed because of my time at West, as I have been made a better person, both academically and personally because of my hardworking teachers and staff.

I loved my experience at West High School. The teachers were friendly, helpful, and truly interested in seeing their students succeed. The overall environment was pleasant and extremely conducive to learning. The amount of AP classes offered has helped me tremendously in college as I was able to take many AP classes and pass the tests, giving me a large number of credits going in. The class sizes were small, and, the athletics offered were competitive. There were many outside opportunities available for dual enrollment and internships.
I graduated with the class of 2015 just a couple years ago. This school was a fantastic place to, not only find my passions, but immerse myself in those passions as well. Coming in as a transfer student in the middle of my sophomore year, I wasn't honestly sure what to expect, but I found the student body very welcoming, and the faculty aided in the transition as well. I was largely a music student with a passion for theatre as well. I will say that both the choir and band programs are incredible and have a well-earned reputation around the state. That goes for the theatre program as well, earning countless awards for the WHSFA one act festival and numerous Tommy Awards for Phantom of the Opera. The music and theatre directors are very accessible and very friendly. On the academic side, I believe the curriculum at West prepared me well for college, especially my AP English classes. I had a wonderful 2 1/2 years at this school and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested!
