My overall experience at West High has been average. They do a good job at keeping bullying and our safety as their number one priority. Although the teaching and being informative with us has not been so great for me. Academics are alright but they could do better. I have had classes where I spend the majority of the time listening to one power point after another. Not all students learn the same way. Some need to be hands on like me, those classes were not very enjoyable. My counselors do a bad job on telling me about all the opportunities I can take advantage of. I was not informed I could take college classes online and get the credits until last year and it wasn't by them. They are always saying they want the best for us but they do not actually help us.

I am so glad I went to west high. I loved the atmosphere and the culture! It was definitely the most diverse school in the city. The teachers, coaches, and faculty were all so friendly and actually cared about the students. The students were also very friendly!
Since transferring to the school three years ago, I have had a really good experience with West High. The majority of teachers are fun, helpful, creative, and overall really great individuals. The students I have met and become friends with are some of the greatest people I believe I will ever encounter. Although most teenagers do not like high school, being at West certainly made it a more tolerable experience.
