West High School is incredibly diverse. After I moved out of state I quickly realized not everywhere is like that, and I definitely miss it. The school does a good job of balancing the importance of academics, sports, and the arts. You will not have trouble finding your crowd here, as everything from theater to science has a niche group of friends. I do think administratively they have a few flaws, and they could do a bit more to protect their students both physically and mentally, but they overall try their best and my highschool experience wasn't hindered too much. There is lots of school spirit and pride here! I am extremely prideful of my alma mater and I think anyone who goes here is getting a fantastic, rounded education and life experience!

I really enjoy West High School. Although the building is very old (which does come with it's own set of challenges) I have felt really welcomed into the school. West had become my third high school after a move due to my father's job and later bullying at a different school in Alaska; however, West made me feel comfortable and I found friends relatively quickly and felt more accepted for the person that I really am here- which is hard to find in high schools from my experience. I was able to find my own niche and benefit from the fruits of diversity at this school which has helped me grow into the person that I am today and has allowed me to cultivate and enhance my own experiences. Though I maybe didn't per say choose West for a high school, I am extremely happy and glad that I was able to have the opportunity to attend here!
West High School is one of the top 3 diverse highschools in the US. I thought it was the best highschool because west basically had everything that no other high school had. It wasn’t the richest but its okay. The school activities such as spirit weeks were my favorite because it got everyone to participate no matter what type of group you were in. It got the classes to interact with one another. West had the coolest teachers too and made sure everyone would pass. They took their time to help their students achieve. As for sports wise, west has a great football team. The time and commitment the coach puts them in is a miracle. I miss high school sometimes only because it was a amazing ride to spend with my friends. It was where I got to see them everyday.
