West Forsyth High School Reviews

The vast majority of the teachers are extremely well versed in their subject; many of them are extremely understanding regarding unexpected circumstances in our everyday lives. There exists a strong school spirit and the administration is great in informing students about useful information and possible opportunities that will benefit the students. Safety is a huge priority at this school, and it is taken care of very well.
The faculty are very warm and welcoming people. I feel like I received a quality education there. Most of all I made a lot of memories with very important people and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
West Forsyth provides excellent opportunities for students who are willing to be responsible for their education.
West Forsyth High School is located in Clemmons, North Carolina. I have attended West since August, 2017. Overall, I have had an amazing experience with the faculty and staff on campus as well as most students as well. Although, I would like to see more inclusivity in the arts department.
I have always found WF to be an okay school. Before COVID happened, technology was strongly looked down upon. This proved to be an issue when the pandemic hit because now we have to use technology all the time, which proves that it is important for students to know how to use it effectively in a variety of classes. Another before COVID issue is that the school wasn’t very clean. A lot of the bathrooms never had soap in them. I’m hoping that things are handled better when in person classes happen again. As for the teachers, most of them are pretty good and try to help students out in any way they can, especially since administration won’t a lot of the time. I think that more counseling resources should be made available to us (like for applying to colleges) and that mental health should be taken more seriously.
What I liked about West Forsyth High School was the few friends I got to meet as well as the art classes. Other than that, attending this school really wasn't that enjoyable for me. Some of the teachers are amazing, but there is a fair share of unfair and truthfully rude teachers. I would like to see that improve as well as the structure of the walkways that tend to flood every time it rains. The amount of busy work given here was also a real struggle as many of the teachers assigned ridiculous amounts of work and those countless assignments did little to nothing to help improve grades because most of our overall course grade relied on test grades. The environment of this school was very cliquey, it was hard to make the few friends I did. Luckily, I did have my sister with me but she was a grade above me so I didn't get to see her much. I felt outcasted most days. Overall, I am extremely thankful to have to opportunity to get educated, but West was overly stressful and anxious.
I like West Forsyth, I mean, there are pros and cons. I feel like teachers and staff are really friendly but the school has a lack of diversity and school spirit could definitely improve!
I've attended West Forsyth for the past four years, and there are many things that I love about it, however what I admire the most is our athletic department. The students here are very talented and amazing at what they do, especially with the training of our coaches here. This field is also very diverse in sports teams like track and field, cross country, football, basketball, etc. Despite this though, I feel we can build an even more inclusive community if the administration dedicated more of an effort to do so. Go Titans!!!!
During my time at West I met many new people and learned a lot academically . There was however a lack of diversity at my school. In my honors class I was often the only African American in my class. The difference between the regulars and honors classes were notable different and not fairly balanced. I have met some amazing teachers that have helped me beyond the classroom and made sure I will have a great future.
West Forsyth was the first public school that I have ever attended. Being in a private school, public school had a bad stigma surrounding it; however, when I got there it was nothing like what I had thought it might have been like. Everyone was a lot nicer than I had thought they would have been. The past 3 years that I have attended have been nice. They were nothing special, but they were not horrible.
West Forsyth High School is a great place for new beginnings. It is where I met all of my really good friends. it is a school like no other where you can form great relationships.
West Forsyth has amazing teachers. The office staff and counselors are always helpful especially with having 2600 or so students at the school.
I transferred to West Forsyth in the middle of the year and they really tried their best to make me feel comfortable with such great changes. The teachers are very kind and inform you on test and how to get the most out of your education. They also have a lot of electives to choose from that can help you choose what your passion is and how to pursue it. They have also provided students with programs, volunteer opportunities, job shadowing and scholarships that can help us with college. I don't really have any complaints because its not anything wrong with the school just more of my preferences like I would rather have 7 classes a day instead of 4. Early release days and how long classes are.
Very inviting atmosphere with great staff and great athletics. Loved going to school here. Many options for classes and clubs.
West Forsyth is best! I did not fully appreciate West until Covid-19. Having to learn and communicate remotely, makes you realize the greatness you have taken for granted.
Not at all diverse. White School with white privilege. White sports, white activities. Another White School preaching about diversity is our strength but does not include hardly any minorities in their sports or activities. White parents who buy their white kids way into sports or any other activities they choose to be in. If you do not have money or you are not White do not send your kids here. Definitely not a School for minorities.
It's a cool school! I met so many people and so many good teachers that helped me prepare for college. Make sure you check out the student services because they have amazing resources for higher education and also for greatening your time at West.
