As a student at Sheyenne High School I feel the teachers here really care about your overall well being and not just your education. Being a student here means a lot to me, the community and relationships this school provides is a blessing to be apart of. One major thing I see at out school is kindness, I see it all over in many ways. For example, coming into the school and kids holding the door open for each other, not pushing in the hallways, letting students ask questions in class without fear of being wrong or asking a “dumb” question. We recently this year got a new principal; Mr. Williams who really enforces equality of all students of all ethnicities and colors. To me being part of Sheyenne is both overwhelmingly filled with love and support, knowing your teachers really care. Even some teachers stand in the hallways and encourage us to stay strong and push through the day, which really helps when your ready to be dine for the day.
I love the opportunities that are available for students, and the staff are excellent! We are given open campus opportunities which are great! Sheyenne is very welcoming and positive, although there are some things that could improve. One thing I believe that could improve is the teachers ability to enter grades correctly in the gradebook. There are many incoming new teachers that struggle with this task. Other than that, Sheyenne is great.
Sheyenne is a very welcoming place to all students. They make you feel like you matter and help you with your problems wether it’s in school or not.
Overall it was good. Teachers were helpful and the school had a lot of resources to help kids learn and be the best they could be if they put in the effort. A lot of elective choices to make classes interesting. Some kids were closed minded towards others who were different which is unfortunate.
Very good school, offered many classes and gave students lots of opportunites, some staff was a little short sighted and didnt look out for everyone but overall veyr good
Sheyenne High School in North Dakota is a really good school! There is a very diverse community within the school so everyone can find a place to fit in. There are many athletic, music, and different club opportunities at the school as well. With great teachers and other staff members, you are guaranteed to have at least one adult support system in the school at all times. For anyone that is considering Sheyenne for their future, whether it’s for a job or high school education, I would highly recommend it because of the positive environment there.
It is a very welcoming place, the teachers connect with students and make class interesting and engaging.
Newly built high school. Every student is issued an iPad to use. This was very helpful for online learning surfing co-vid. Sports are supported extremely well. Music and theater doesn’t receive the same attention.
I like the overall energy here. The staff and students are helpful and nice. The schedules work with me. There are great extracurriculars to join at this school. Some things I dislike are the parking and for some classes you have to travel to another school. But overall is is a great school.
Well, first of all, it's no longer just a ninth grade center, so you might want to change that. Sheyenne has a great staff, but I never really got along with the students. High School just wasn't my scene.
The opportunities were endless and many of the teachers I had were so encouraging and treated the students like humans, not just jobs.
Sheyenne High has been my home for the past 4 years as I am a senior right now. Such a great community, the teachers and my classmates are all beyond amazing. Not to forget to mention, the sports and activities, the environment is inviting. Some things that could change from a students perspectives; pep rallys. They could be so much more entertaining if there were new ideas, because its the same thing every year. Also, parking has slowly become an issue, since more students come each year.
I personally really like Sheyenne. It is a very friendly and positive environment to be in. Sheyenne dose a good job in offering many opportunities in all areas of learning such as sports, speech, and music.
A fun, new place to learn. Sheyenne High school is a new school that was recently transformed from a ninth grade center. We have lots of extra curriculars including sports, music, leadership, you name it! The staff and students are spectacular making it a positive learning environment. They are sure to set you up for success!
It has became a four-year complete high school, and over all it’s a fine school. Sheyenne has great school pride and the amount of focus the school gives to things outside of just going through your required classes and doing the homework are exceptional. I enjoy the games and pep rallies because it makes every student feel connected and their a lot of fun to be apart of. There is a variety of activities and sports, and the things I’m in the teachers are every invested and care about what their doing. It is a lot of fun to be apart of and most of the students also care about the activity their in which makes it a more fun learning experience for me. The academics are decent and taught well, however I wish their would be more AP class and business/finance class options. Most of the time the food in the lunches aren’t very good, except the daily cold lunch options. The staff has been very helpful to me. Overall, my experience with this school has been for the most of it good.
Sheyenne High School gave me the opportunity to take many advanced courses and complete my STEM pathway which has been very beneficial to my future plans. The teachers, administration, and students make Sheyenne a place where everyone wants to be and feel connected. Our school has that Mustang pride!!
It is a very good school, but definitely could use improvement. My freshman year was wonderful, but since then the activities I am involved in have seriously declined. We have a lot of students at our school who suffer from mental illness, and for some of my friends, including myself, it is caused/escalated by some of the teachers here. Nobody is perfect, so with that in mind, this school is very good and well developed, but there are many areas that could be improved. The staff wants the students to feel as though they care, but sometimes it feels forced. I do feel that I could talk to most of my teachers about anything, which is good.
