My experience at West Fargo High School has been a great one, I’ve met new people who inspires me on a day-to-day basis.
Overall, I think West Fargo High School is a great school with so many resources and help when you need it. It's very diverse with tons of clubs and activities for those that are interested. From my experience, everyone is treated equally without racism or bias. They also have very good teachers who are invested in their student's education and overall wellbeing and they do their best to involve parents when needed. I can't comment on the food because I didn't eat school lunch but I think it's edible hahaha. Just kidding, I think it's good. I wish you all the best if you plan to attend the school. Good luck!!!
My experience at my school was great. There are so many nice students and staff that make you feel welcome. The classes, programs, sports, and clubs are all amazing quality and so much fun.
Attending West Fargo Sheyenne High School since grade 9 has been an outstanding experience. The school has provided me and every other student with an amazing education. They create a safe and healthy environment that students benefit from. Each section of the alphabet has a personal counselor which allows for a better connection and willingness to talk about how you're feeling at any given time. Our principle strives to create a healthy and loving environment everyday. He stays connected to not only his staff but the students as well. All of my teachers have guided me to accomplishments academically and personally. Being a part of this school is like being a part of a big family. I Have come to learn my passions, future goals and ultimately, my career path. We have been taught since Freshman year to prepare ourselves. I feel very prepared to start college this coming fall all thanks to the caring and hardworking staff at Sheyenne High School.
The school has great teachers who care about your success. There are of course some subjects where it seems the teaching could still use some improvement. The building is a little outdated, but they have done many updates over the years. Most schools mostly ignore the music programs while focusing on sports, but this school offers generous support for the music programs. The band department just got a new set of chimes this year. Overall a great school.
Very good student to teacher relationships. Staff is adequate. Administration is iffy if you have a serious problem. Biggest thing was how they don't handle diversity issues.
Throughout high school its a spiral, for an east coast kid like me the curriculum was really hard to adjust to because the pace they work at is so fast and overwhelming, the school itself has been remodeled many times so it is very updated and huge, holds around 1500 students. People are nice but not the kind of nice where its accepting, its nice enough to hold a conversation.
I loved my experience at West Fargo High, had a lot of awesome teachers who enjoyed teaching, and very helpful. There is a ton of AP classes to choose from and those teachers help you to pass the AP exam.
It's a very liberal school with lots of extracurriculars and high standards for education. The student body had lots of diversity but was shown little acceptance. While accommodations were made by administration and staff to make everyone feel welcome, the students made less of an effort.
I liked West Fargo High School. There are good teachers there and they really care about your education.
I liked many of the teachers at West Fargo. There are a few I could have done without, but I ended up learning valuable lessons from them anyway. As with many other schools, there is a clear bias towards sports, but I think the school has a pretty strong fine arts area as well. The administration is a bit much, and I don't think they are having the effect that they hope to. By the time I graduated, we went from having one resource officer (an actual cop with a gun and all, but he was nothing new and nobody had a problem with him), to having him in addition to two or three other rent-a-cops. There was a fight during lunch one day and I had the opportunity to see the rent-a-cop in action. She did absolutely nothing. They need more school counselors, or at least a more effective counseling system for the students who need emotional support. Overall, the school admin should think smarter, not harder.
Teachers are very committed and the administration care so much about the mental and physical well being of the student body!
The administration did not care about its students. I had family problems and problems with teachers and the school did nothing to help. Although, I did have a good experience with the speech team.
It is very average, and the admin staff are poor.. and I honestly wouldn’t recommend. As I have had personal experience with the staff, and other students. There are subjects which they refuse to follow up. Classes are alright, teachers are overall great. Although a few, are extremely tasked. Which ruins most of their students learning. The foreign language classes, are amazing, and the teachers are very helpful.
West Fargo High School has been a pretty good school for the most part. We have a great option for academics and other clubs and organizations. Most of the teachers are great also and are there if you need them, regarding if it is about school work or just personal problems you can always count on them. The only things not so great about the school is some of the kids. Most are disrespectful and just plan old rude. I understand most school have these kids and can’t really do much about it but that has been the main thing that has been disappointing during my 4 years at the school. Overall I believe that West Fargo is average high school.
West Fargo High has some of the best administrators, teachers, and extra curricular programs in the state of North Dakota. Winning multiple awards in all three of the mentioned categories, West Fargo High is one of the most well rounded schools to attend in North Dakota and it is a great place to attend.
I think it’s an average high school. The student body is majorly less than respectful. There is a small set of really great teachers who greatly value their student’s education. Their extracurricular activities are very inclusive. I feel as though the teaching of knowledge that is helpful to have after your graduation is extremely scarce.
