I've attended this school for 4 years and from the outside it seems like it has everything going against it, poor funding, location, facilities etc. Yet it prospers! As a 4 star school West stands as a monument to not judging a book by its cover- West Carter's staff and drive to give their students the ability to succeed is incomparable to any school in our district and dare I say our nation.

So, this is the school my entire family so far has went to. Most the people know each other or get to know each other very fast. They have very helpful staff and well organized programs. FFA, FFCLA, sports, and a new teaching program are all coordinated by teachers that take pride in their work. The school takes safety seriously (we even have metal detectors). There are a lot of ways to build credit (college and high school) while you’re enrolled in the schools. The only complaint I have is it’s a very small school; which, some people prefer.
The other students were very disrespectful and didn't take any of their classes seriously. Despite their minimal effort, most of easily passed their classes due to lax grading standards.
The teachers present are a mixed bag. There are many who seem to genuinely care and do what they can to ensure their students' success. However, there are quite a few teachers with attitude issues and extremely lax teaching policies.
