My involvement with WCHS changed the entire course of my academic course as they allowed me to be accepted as a student to be funded at SInclair Community College. Communication with WCHS was not what I would hope it to be, but when it was good, doors were openeed for me. I am thankful for WCHS and how they helped me.
West Carrollton is a good school, just lacking in more broad/diverse academic opportunities through classes. Some CCP classes are offered, one AP class is offered, but there is not much to take after those that would offer a college level experience to prepare you. The teachers at WCHS are wonderful, many have made a long lasting impact on my success and I could not ask for more. We don't have the best sports teams, but the atmosphere is electric and no matter what happens it always is a fun experience.
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed it here. The teachers are awesome and the community in general is very pleasant to be around. I feel like it would be better if more AP classes were offered because, as of right now, there is only one. However, a lot of CCP courses are offered so that is quite nice.
West Carrollton is overall an amazing school. The staff members are great, the students and the academics. The only thing I would change would have to be the school food.
I enjoyed the teachers and core values of the school, but feel as though the security of the school could use some improvement. There are not enough working cameras in this school. Security should be a priority in any school, and I did not feel like my property was safe while in class. Aside from security, the teachers were extremely encouraging and motivating. It is was easy to connect with them which is important when learning. Diversity was good and many of the teachers prepared me for life and college. I didn't give 5 stars because I feel that security is very important and needs to be invested in.
I have had an amazing experience at West Carrollton High School. I've always been able to get the help that I need, my teachers have always supported me and encouraged everyone else in class to excel, the bullying I've seen has been minimal to none, and I feel that the classes I've decided to take thus far are preparing me for the workload and difficulty of college.
They front office lady's were very helpful. They helped me get all the docoments that I need for me son. I'm a single dad and I didn't know what I needed.
The People who work there are very nice. They helped my daughter a lot and made high school experience easy for her.
friendly staff and so many opportunities to be involved and to create a better educational achievement. This school really wants to see students succeed and connect with schools and careers before students graduate.
West Carrollton is a very student diverse school. There’s not just anyone in certain groups of people that hang around. Everybody is friends. Although the leniency could be a little better.
Our school is very involved and diverse. The teachers are A1. Wouldn’t ever want it to change. I played three sports and our school pride is very strong.
Good school but wish the teachers were more involved with the students. Also very hard to concentrate when its 90 degrees outside and there is no air conditioning.
My experience with west Carrollton High School overall has been horrible, specially since I moved here from a different state. The Students who know that other students that are not from around here they treat them differently just because they way they dress, they way they speak, or how they act. It took my whole high school years to except who I was a person. Even though high school didn't change me entirely, I had to change what I was doing. I joined new sports and organizations to help me get of my comfort zone. Besides social life, I think the school needs better teacher, because they are not getting their students ready for college. West Carrolton schools as whole need more diverse teachers that would be willing to teach all students about the greater good of a education.
I like the offerings west Carrollton high offers for example going to CTC as a junior or taking College credit plus classes.
I loved the teachers there. The principals were otmy favorite. The school itself needs improving. The student body on the other hand had lots of spirit for the most part. Big community which is welcoming.
Many parents seem like they don't care about the students grades when really they should. Also, many people down my school because we are not the wheat at sports, so sadly sometimes when I cheer barely anyone comes to the games even though we have 1,000 students in our school.
My teachers seem to try their hardest. However, sometimes it's the students who need to change who they are unlike the teacher because many students don't put a lot of effort into things like homework and class work.
