West Allegheny Senior High School is an excellent high school. It has friendly and helpful teachers pushing their students to do their best. West Allegheny also makes sure that each student is career and collage ready by the time they leave the high school. The student life is absolutely amazing. West Allegheny Senior High School has something for every student. From the many clubs and extracurricular activities such as speech and debate, GSA, marching band, MCJROTC, pizza and politics, ski club, and National Honors Society, to sports like football, swimming, tennis, track and field, rugby, soccer, and bocce, it is hard to choice what fun activity or activities you would like to participate in. If playing sports is not ones thing, then they could be apart of the enthusiastic student section at sports games. Overall, West Allegheny Senior High School is the best school one could possibly go to if they want to be ready for the future, and have the best high school experience.
WAHS connects its students with multiple local community colleges, providing students with the opportunity to earn college credits and degrees while in high school. The majority of teachers are kind and dedicated to their students. I believe the school could put more resources towards supporting the mental health of its students, but new, recent clubs and organizations have made strides to support all demographics.
West Allegheny Senior High School is a safe and excepting environment that I enjoy going to. The teachers and administration will work with you relentlessly to make sure all of your needs are met and you are receiving the best education possible. Unlike other schools, West Allegheny is privileged to have a police officer at every building in the district which is very reassuring with the climate of society today. I believe I am receiving an advanced education with many special opportunities that other students many not have at other high schools and for that I am truly grateful.
