Wellsboro high school is a small school district. There are some really good teachers there but most are average. There are 4 AP classes and multiple honors classes. There is a great Ag. program and industrial arts program. Wellsboro is pretty good but is under employed due to not having a big enough budget. They paid too much for the sports facilities/field. Wellsboro seems to care about sports too much, with Football and soccer being their most important sports. Lesser sports, such as tennis, don't have the money to get good uniforms and they have to use the town's courts since the high school does not have its own courts. Wellsboro as a whole has barely any diversity so most students are Caucasian.

I absolutely loved attending Wellsboro Area High School! The teachers were passionate about their subject areas, the school spirit was amazing, and there were always fun clubs and activities to take part in. The cafeteria food could be improved upon, but that is the only downfall. The building is beautiful and the administration is welcoming and helpful.
It's not fair to judge all of the teachers at WAHS when there was a large discrepancy between each teacher. I had a US History teacher who was engaging, graded fairly, used real-world connections and was always there for his students, and my next history teacher was the least-engaging teacher in the school. I had one English teacher who taught us just fine and could meet with us after class; the next year I had an English teacher who graded erratically and let her moods determine what we were going to do for that day, and the next year I had an English teacher who would obviously play favorites and didn't seem to care about student well being outside of the classroom, however she was a great teacher. My physics teacher was always available after class and would help me through any difficulty, my chemistry teacher would do no such thing. There was no standard for teachers being available or being good teachers, unfortunately, and I had to adapt to each new teacher's personality and teaching style every single year, which could be hard given that I learn a specific way.
