Moved to EGR from out of state. The principal made time to give me a full tour even prior to coming. Teachers are committed to the positive behavior reinforcement culture and stay in their jobs here for many years (low turnover). Many teachers live in the community and do continuing ed and are truly committed to the profession. There are many stay-home parents and rich families who enrich the experience both financially and by volunteering. As a lower-income family, we can't afford some of the fancy clothes and ski vacations that other kids are doing, so socially it has been less natural. However, academically I feel like my kids are thriving at Wealthy School. They had almost no covid cases because everyone got on board with masking, distancing, and handwashing. My biggest complaint is the lack of diversity. Since most people are rich, there aren't a lot of school-sponsored activities, but EGR parks and rec has some things.
