I enjoyed all of the resource such as the vocational center. It gives students a lot of opportunity to explore their career interests, and even allows them to go out of high school with apprenticeships and such in a field they enjoy. I also enjoyed the amount of classes that you have to choose from to take throughout high school. Also, how the teachers will care for their students and try their best to help them with their grades is very helpful. Especially since when you're going through something that academically affects you most of them try to understand you first, before they go to find a punishment.
As a senior, Wayne Memorial has definitely grown to hold a very special place in my heart. From my freshman year to now, I've become more of an outgoing, open-minded person. From programs like Upward Bound to the theatrical guild, I've been introduced to people that I feel I'll have strong connections to for a very long time. Although some students can be somewhat erratic, the majority are quite respectful and honest. Additionally, most of the teachers are very willing to help their students and will stop at almost nothing to make sure that you receive as best an education as you can.
Wayne Memorial High School has changed me for the better. I started at Wayne as a freshman, and now, as a senior, I am completely different. I have broken a total of 5 school records in track and cross country and this would not have been accomplished without the wonderful people I have met along the way who have influenced me to go after what I want. Wayne is very open to diversity, as they have an Allies club which supports all that identify as LGBTQ. They also have a Black Student Union and a Christian club. With all of the different sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities, there is something for everyone at Wayne!
