Teachers are nearly all great, classes offer a diverse range of experiences, from a wide variety of art classes, to an equally wide variety of computer and programming classes. Some of the options to help prepare students for their post-high school education are helpful, one even introduced me to what may be my current ideal school. While I admittedly have had relatively little club activity during my time here, whether out of disinterest or holding a part-time job locally, my limited experience with the art club has been almost nothing but good times, and friends or acquaintances I've talked to about clubs have had good things to say about their own activities as well. Things could be better communicated from staff to students in some areas, but overall, Waupaca High School is a perfectly fine school to spend your high school years attending.

The staff members and teachers at Waupaca High School are some of the best. The district takes a lot of time working on teacher development that allows then to be the best educators they can be. I also love the resources provided at Waupaca High School. A large focus is placed on post high school plans which vary between college, military and the workforce. Waupaca has a wonderful program that allows students to explore their options and be involved with employers and college advisors.
I wish the school would handle disciplinary acts more effectively. I believe the way they are handled now does not teach the student any lesson or change the behavior. The school needs to adjust their behavior policy.
Waupaca High was a wild and unruly ride. Within my high school career so far, we have had at least four principles and so many policy changes, it's hard to remember which rules we are exactly supposed to follow. There was good, there was bad, and there were the times I was so frustrated that I felt like tearing my hair out.
Waupaca doesn't offer any incentives to those who want to individually express themselves and grow. I felt stuck in each english class that they offered (except maybe the CAPP and Creative Writing courses), like I wasn't challenged enough, but I felt like the math classes were too hard and the learning targets were gone through too quickly. I wish that we could see a little more freedom of expression within this school district and less constant change.
