Waukegan High School is not the best high school at all when it comes to things such as advertising clubs, sports, or events. The security isn't great at all and is prone to making last minute decisions that affect the entire high school. At least the sports teams are great!

Waukegan High School is a great school full of passionate teachers and driven students but it has its problems. They don't have the best safety, college readiness, or food - which I think are WHS's biggest problems. But it's still a great school where you can be part of many clubs and meet many wonderful students. Its diversity is so high that you can feel right at home, like you belong. The teachers are devoted to giving their students a good education, and many form close bonds with their students. Despite its problems, it's truly still a really great school!
While Waukegan High School’s reputation isn’t the greatest, the students who went there can all testify that faculty did the best with what we had. Since WHS is located in a poorer community, we were often looked down upon by surrounding schools because we didn’t have nice things like they did. Not only do we have great staff that helps us with problems but we have excellent teacher who put their all into making sure we don’t receive anything less than the best education. I think what helps a students experience in high school are the teachers they have because that can make or break a students school year and Waukegan high school definitely has some teachers who go above and beyond for their students. While we may not excel in other areas like testing and such, we are slowly getting up there with the help of the teachers who work for our district because they put so much effort into getting us at the same level as our neighboring school.
