Waukee Senior High School Reviews

The Waukee School District has given me many opportunities, as I have been here since kindergarten. Now that I am going to be a senior I am so glad I have grown up here and had excellent academic and athletic opportunities. For example, our APEX building allows high schoolers to explore different career paths before college! The only downside to being in a big school and having all these opportunities is the competition. There will almost always be someone better than you in the sport you want to play or the activity you want to do. Something I would like to see change is more flexible schedules for music students because sometimes having choir in my schedule makes everything feel crammed in. Overall Waukee has great opportunities as long as you take advantage and get involved.
I've only been at Waukee High School for one semester, but I feel like I've been here for so much longer! This is because this school makes you feel included. I would recommend everyone to do at least one extracurricular activity; it really helps with that feeling of inclusion. I did marching band over the summer, so I got to meet some of my fellow high schoolers before the year even began!
A lot of the students were disrespectful of the building, teachers, and others. The teachers, pretty much all of them were really nice and brought amazing attitude to class!
