The education and dedication to students from staff is very high. I would like to see more involvement in clubs and more opportunities in the district but I feel the opportunities the district does provide are very prestigious compared to other high school programs around the country. I feel the administration has a lot to manage and has not managed their responsibilities in the best way possible which has led to lots of distrust within the district. Overall my experience in Waukee has been something I will not forget, the opportunities exceed normal high school expectations and think there is still room for me, along with similar students to create a change and bring more to the Waukee Community School District.
The one thing that I enjoyed the most about my experience at Waukee Senior High School was being allowed the opportunity to decide what courses and extra curricular activities to take. These choices helped pushed me out of my comfort zone, which allowed me to make new friends and to figure out who I really am.
One thing that I would change about my experience at Waukee Senior High School is the block scheduling that they have for courses. I believe that the block scheduling did not give me enough time to fully comprehend the learning that the courses were trying to teach me.

There are many things I love about Waukee. You always have a teacher you can count on. They go above and beyond in the classroom to make sure you succeed in school, and well as outside activities. The staff truly cares about the student experience, and it shows. You are guaranteed to see a friendly smile every direction you turn. I transferred here last year, and I absolutely love everything about it. I am so happy I chose this as my school because I would not want it any other way. However, I think there needs to be more safety in the school, as I believe each school should have. Overall, I rate my school very well because I have very few negative things to say about it.
