Waubonsie Valley High School has offered me an excellent selection of Honors and AP courses to enrich my knowledge and prepare me for the workload of college. In addition to that, there are a lot of other interesting courses that allow people to explore their interests, such as Public Speaking, Broadcast Communications and Technology, Culinary Arts, Engineering, Childhood Education, etc. I have never had a problem choosing my class schedule for the upcoming year because there is so much to choose from!
I have to thank the teachers who are so passionate about what they do for my success. Of course, I have had some teachers who I would not recommend to others, but you encounter some unpleasant people in every situation.

I’m all about diversity, and if you are too then Waubonsie is the place for you!
They prepare you for college, and challenge you to the best of your ability.
They don’t stress you too much, but I mean it is high school. I moved here last year and I found that it’s really easy to find my classes. Making my schedule has never been a problem, if I want to be in a certain class and I am qualified to take it, my councilor puts me in that class. The academics are great and the teachers really teach you things you will use in the future.
Most of the teachers are great, some don’t do their job well, but the ones that do are so friendly and helping. The students are not terrible, but they just need to learn not to judge people. And the only other bad thing would be lunch. The lunch is okay at first but then everything goes downhill after the first few weeks.
Anyways, everything at WVHS does take some getting use to, but once you get the hang of it, it is a great overall experience!
Overall, I have had a really great experience at Waubonsie Valley. The music program has been a source of my greatest accomplishments and where I have met my best friends. I feel as though I have been encouraged to take part in a variety of extracurricular activities from music programs to athletics to other clubs. I think most teachers genuinely care about the material that they teach and do their best to create a good learning environment for their students. The administration is very supportive of the students and their endeavors. The fine arts and athletic programs are highly supported from students, coaches, instructors, and staff; I have always felt that the culture here is great across the board.
